CSU got where it wanted in life.

O’Brien had the pleasure of helping Colorado State University launch their new online university – Colorado State University Global Campus. The university decided to create a separate entity for their online offerings. Since the school was brand-new, awareness of CSUGC itself did not exist.

The goal of the launch was to fill the initial enrollment as well as build a pipeline of interested students for subsequent terms.

Colorado State University’s overall brand is strong in Colorado and we leveraged that knowledge and excitement to help generate interest in the new online venture. The team built off the existing brand in a way that attracted busy adults wanting to go back to school. We connected with them from a convenience point-of-view as well as emotionally by encouraging them to do something positive for themselves with the headline “Wherever you are in life, get ahead.”

The campaign exceeded all expectations by filling the first term to capacity over three months before school started, as well as generating substantial leads for the following school sessions. In addition, the campaign was awarded top honors in the 2008 Admission Marketing Report Awards show bringing home four medals including the show’s top gold prize.
